What did y’all think of Byfield yesterday? - Only_A_Ladd
Admittedly, I found myself watching Stutzle a lot. Kid is electric. Byfield is raw compared with his teammates but the tools are there. Great hands for a guy that big.
Byfield was almost invisible yesterday, especially after he took a penalty and lost ice time. So far, he's just been a depth player and, outside of a few hits in the exhibition game, a non-factor. I keep reminding myself that he's once again the youngest player on the team, but it's still disappointing and doesn't bode well for him making the NHL any time soon, since he'd be the youngest player on the Kings this season and even next season. He looks to me like he needs a lot more development before he's NHL ready. At least the team can afford that with Vilardi seemingly ready and Turcotte looking like he might be only a season away.
